To our Baroo Community,

We started Baroo four years ago with the mission to revolutionize pet care, delivering exceptional service to pets and pet parents. Over the past four years, we at Baroo have had the pleasure of caring for so many incredible dogs, cats, chinchillas, birds, fish, and rabbits. It has brought all of us tremendous joy to get to service such wonderful animals-we have watched rambunctious puppies become silly adults, helped nervous pups experience the world safely, and said goodbye to a number of our older furry friends with you. Together, we shared over 130,000 playdates with over 5,500 pets in five major metro markets.

However, as with any start-up, like Baroo, that is pushing innovative approaches and something totally new: sometimes you don’t make it.

We are extremely sad to share with you that Baroo will be ceasing all services and shutting down operations at the end of the day on Wednesday, February 21st.

We know that continuity of care is critical for our pets. We have formed a partnership with to provide continued care to our beloved Baroo pets (and some credit to get you started!)

We also wanted to share some important notes:

  • For those customers who have purchased monthly packages for February, we will be issuing refunds for unused walks. Please note that it takes 3-5 business days for those to process and arrive in your bank account. Refunds will be issued later this week.
  • If your key is held in a Baroo lockbox on your property, your property team will be gaining access to those lockboxes on Thursday and will be removing all keys.
  • If you have a Meet & Greet scheduled for MondayTuesday, or Wednesday, those appointments have been cancelled.
  • If we are currently pet sitting for your pet, you received a phone call this morning to make an individualized plan.
